Overview

MS channels are C-shaped structural sections used where a beam or a purlin is needed without the cost of an I-beam. We stock sizes from 75 mm to 300 mm in 6 m and 12 m lengths, to IS 2062 mild steel.

Uses in Indore

Channels carry roof purlins in sheds, frame gates and staircases, support machinery bases and form the legs of trolleys and racks. Two channels welded back to back make a stiff column or beam.

Pick the size from the span and the load in your drawing. If you do not have a drawing, ask your fabricator or engineer, not the counter. Look for straight sections with even flanges, and ask for the length that wastes the least in cutting.
