FRP bars are glass-fibre reinforced polymer rods. They do not rust and they weigh a fraction of steel. We stock them as 4 ft (530 g), 5 ft (660 g) and 6 ft (790 g) pieces, and in diameters from 6 mm to 20 mm.

Uses in Indore

Farmers and builders use FRP bars as fence posts and tie rods, where steel would rust. They also go into marine and chemical-plant work where corrosion is the problem.

Buying guide

FRP is not a drop-in swap for steel in a beam or a slab. It cannot be bent on site, and its strength and stiffness are different. Use it as per an engineer's design. For fence posts, pick the length to suit the height above ground plus the depth you set.

Can FRP bars replace TMT bars in a house?

Only where an engineer has designed for it. FRP behaves differently from steel and cannot be bent on site. For ordinary RCC, use TMT bars.
